Champion Dragway Competition Meeting
From the 15 entries in Junior Dragster Aaron Phillips driving the RS250 Junior Dragster qualified in third place with an E.T. of 8.6 seconds and Cameron Prime driving the CR250 Junior Dragster qualified in sixth place.
Unfortunity Aaron got a red light in the first round caused by a deep stage and Camerons dragster cut out after leaving the start line, but no fault could be found once back in the pits, where it started up OK.
Aaron lowered his personal best E.T down to 8.3 seconds which shows him chipping away at getting better E.Ts each meeting.
Having replaced the rear axle in Camerons dragster after the Christchurch meeting he also lowered his personal best E.T down to 8.8 seconds.
We did not show in the results this meeting, but the guys have both showed improved reaction times and personal best E.T.s.

Champion Dragway Meeting 21 st January 2007
Aaron Phillips and Cameron price will be attending the Champion Dragway meeting to be held 21 st January in preparation for the NZDRA Nationals to be held next month, We will be able to get mph readouts for the 1/8 mile and this will help us to check what changes we have made to the sixth gear ratios in the gearbox of Aarons RS 250 powered Junior Dragster.

South Island Drag Racing Champs
The long drive to Christchurch had its moments with problems from a fitting in a LPG line breaking and the journey south took longer with only able to run on one LPG tank.
But come sunday there there was a total of eight competitors in the junior dragster bracket, which meant with us bringing in five competitors the bracket was able to be run as a round of the NZDRA national points score.
Qualifying was a good result from the five competitors that we took with us, with Aaron phillips in first place, cameron prime in second place, Ayla Murray in third place, First three spots filled from the North Island, Morgan tolhurst from Christchurch in fourth, Kieran Price in fifth, and Ryan Phillips in sixth, with two more competitors from the south island taking seventh and eight position.
Cameron lauched it hard off the start line and got into some tyre shake from the slicks and ended up bending the rear axle achieved a 9.0 second E.T. so there was good traction on the start line.
Aaron obtained his first 8 second pass, and by the end of the day he had obtained a string of them ending up with a best of 8.4 seconds.
We had a couple of cars out on the first round with break outs as the dragsters obtained better E.T,s, Ryan and Aaron getting personal bests.
The final was between Ryan Phillips and Morgan Tolhurst and Ryan coming away with the win. Another win for for Ryan for the season.
A very enjoyable meeting made all the more better by a very friendly and helpful Team from the dragstrip, and thanks to Kathy and Ashley Tolhurst for your assistance during the day. We look forward to returning to this track in Labour weekend 2007.

The Price Motorsport Junior dragster Team will be competing at the South Island Drag racing Champs to be held at the Powerbuilt Raceway in Christchurch on Sunday the 14 th January 2007.
Aaron Phillips will be competing in a Honda RS250R powered senior class Junior Dragster.
Cameron prime will be competing in a Honda CR250 powered senior class Junior Dragster.
Kieran Price will be competing in his Rotax 125 cc powered Junior class Junior Dragster.
The Price Motorsport Team will also be bringing Ryan Phillips in his Yamaha DT125 cc powered senior class Junior Dragster and Alya Murray will be competing in her Suzuki 250 cc powered senior class Junior dragster.
The team has been busy setting up the trailer unit to enable the five Junior Dragsters to be transported to Christchurch. As with any operation of this size arrangements have been completed which will see several of the drivers and parents flying from Auckland to Christchurch on friday night and returning back on sunday night at the conclusion of the race meting.
The rest of the drivers and team will be travelling with the Truck and Trailer unit by road and crossing on the Ferry on Friday night / saturday morning arriving in Christchurch mid morning on saturday and returning north on Monday.
Hopefully our plane travellers will be able to waive to them as they fly over the trailer unit as they approach the lower north island. This trip trip will be a good learning curve for the drivers about travelling around supporting the different tracks.
Also it will have seen them compete at six drag race meetings at five different race tracks over a 6 week period, which started at Aimsfield Dragway Tokoroa on the 3 / 12 / 06, Champion Dragway meremere on 10 / 12 /06, Masterton motorplex on 17 / 12 / 06, Lakesoide Dragway taupo on 27 / 12 / 06 and 2 / 1 / 07 and finally Powerbuilt Raceway Christchurch on 14 / 1 / 07. So if your in the Christchurch area on the 14 th January 2007 come out and meet the team.

Lakeside International Dragway Taupo
The Junior dragster team of Aaron Phillips, Cameron Prime and Ryan Phillips went to Lakeside Dragway in Taupo on 27 th december to get some more seat time and prepare for the Summer Nationals on 2 nd January 2007.
As the track has no 1/8 mile timers it was suggested that we run the dragsters throught to the 1/8 mile mark, but only record e.t's and mph to the 330 feet (1/16) mile which would allow you to be able to nominate dial in times.
Nine Junior Dragsters turned up to compete. There was also Tim Watkins there in his newly inported Funny Car and approx a total of 50 other competitors.
Thanks to Tania, Tracey and Carol in the pit and staging areas where everthing was running well, But a few problems within the Timing Tower and Light system need addressing before the next meeting.
Aaron was put on the trailer with a lose on a bye run and time card advising that he had broken out of his dial in time when he had not.
Cameron got through to the final with a run against Ryan Phillips which saw Ryan take the win with Cameron breaking out of his dial - in. A very good result for Cameron obtaining a runner - up position in his first season of racing and congratulations to Ryan for picking up First Place.

Masteron Motorplex Meeting
A bit late getting the trailer ready to get the three Junior Dragsters of Aaron, Cameron and Ryan, saw us leave late on friday but got there at 2.30 am saturday morning. Ryan qualified first, Aaron at fourth place and Cameron in eighth place, which put them in the top half of the field.
Traction was a bit of a problem saturday but we saw some good improved results by the end of the weekend with Cameron running a 8.9 second E.T @ 72 mph and look to see the dragster back in the eights again, and avery good result for his second meeting in the dragster. Aaron was running E.T's of 9.0 seconds and obtaining 1.7 second 60 feet times, but a problem with the gearbox ratios will keep him from obtaining good MPH's until the replacement gearsets arrive from overseas, but in the meantime it gives him a chance to get the start line launch correct and as with any new car a new learning curve for us all. The eight second pass can't be far away.
10 th December 2006
Champion Dragway Opening meeting
Cameron had a couple of practise runs in the Junior Dragster on late saturday afternoon after waiting for the track to dry out from some light showers. On his second pass the dragster moved around a bit on every gear change, because of the track not as dry as first throught, but he managed well and straighted it up.
After that we decided it was not dry enought for Aaron to take his new dragster for a run and he had to wait until the next day.
Sunday saw cameron obtaining his drag racing licence with E.T.'s of 9.4 and 9.5 seconds @ 69 mph on his licence application, which is a very good effort for his first drive of a Junior Dragster.
With Aaron's dragster we found that with the good traction at Champion Dragway that the first gear ratio's are not correct and the dragster bogged off the line, but once moving it was away and obtained mph @ 78 mph, and E.T's of 9.1 seconds, a change of jack shaft spockets helped improved the launch but killed the mph speeds.
3 rd December 2006
Tokoroa Dragway
We went to Tokoroa as a Test & Tune day for Aaron and a chance to run his new Junior Dragster, with no 60 feet timers or 1/8 mile timers, no chance of obtaining any data, But a good fun day enjoyed by all.
Kieran Price and Ryan Phillips also came down with us to get some practise in for the season.
The junior spinned its tyres from the start line, but the day allowed us to get an idea on the tune up and resulted in Aaron's first win in a brand new car, Congratulations to aaron for picking up first place.
3 rd December 2006

Petrol Head Outlaw Easter Drags
The Team of Junior Dragsters arrived at Champion Dragway meremere late on Saturday afternoon , which allowed the dragsters to be unloaded and The idea was to allow Aaron phillips from Papatoetoe Auckland to have another driver in the 250 cc powered junior dragster, after his earlier drive of the dragster this year, on arriving there Aaron's younger brother Ryan Phillips was also doing some test runs. So it did not take long before we had three junior dragsters running down the strip, with Aaron, Ryan and Kieren Price also doing some test runs, once Aaron exited the seat Ryan Boyce also have a few runs in the 250 cc Junior, and recent modifications to the air shifter valve appeared to be working well, I think they must of got a dozen or so runs and everthing was running very sweet for sundays running of the The Outlaw Drags orgnised by Wheels Inc and Waikato Drag racing club.

New Zealand National Motor Show
The New Zealand National Motor Show which opened to the public at 9.30 am 21 st March and ran thru to 5.00 pm 23 rd March was held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre just outside Hamilton.
The Price Motorsport Top Alcohol Dragster and Junior Dragster were on display in the Mystery Creek Pavalion, with a display of our sponsors products ranging from Exide Batteries together with banners from Homeplus, Exide Batteries, VDO Dayton and A E Parts.
It was a great show with huge crowds. Thanks to all the supporters that came and said hello and I am sure that you enjoyed the weekend's events. It was a great opportunity to meet with so many people and being able to answer their questions concerning the Dragsters, Drag Racing and our Sponsors.
One of our sponsors VDO Dayton had a great display of their products and had "Vickie Lee" the VDO Dayton promotional Babe on their stand for the weekend. Great to hear that they were awarded Runner-up place in the Best Commercial Stand at the show. Thanks Aaron for arranging for Vickie Lee to come over and she spend some time on our stand. It certainly attracted more of a crowd to our stand with having photos taken of Vickie Lee and the Dragster.
Also in attendance at the Show was Mark Holland and the Blue Thunder Top Doorslammer Charger that was doing a appearance at the Judgement Day Burnout Competition, Mark Barnsley with his Camaro Wildbunch car also appeared on the Sunday.

FINAL POINT SCORE MEETING CHAMPION DRAGWAY MEREMERE.
Price Motorsport Dragster qualies number one in Top Alcohol bracket with an E.T. of 6.53 seconds in a match race series with Frank Boggart's JDI Motorsport Top Alcohol Funny Car. Unfortunately in the first round Frank back pedaled the Funny car on a very slippery track and a lean out occurred, resulting in the supercharger backfiring. After minor repairs, it was hoped for a further match race, but a bent conrod was found and Frank had to withdraw, leaving the Price Motorsport Dragster undertaking two further solo passes with E.T.'s of 6.59 and 6.572.
With the presence of the Bandag Bullet race truck and four other New Zealand circuit racing trucks, this left a very slippery track which appeared to affect our E.T's, confirmed by our vehicle data logger. They appeared to leave a layer of diesel on the surface of the track and I believe insufficent track preparation had being undertaken because of the possibly bad weather forecast, the result is that the high powered cars were not getting the traction that is required to undertake 200 mph passes. Next time a promoter arranges something like this regretfully we will stay at home.
15-16 February 2003.
NEW ZEALAND DRAG RACING ASSOCIATION'S 36TH DRAG RACING NATIONALS.
Price Motorsport dragster qualifies number one in the Top Alcohol Bracket with a E.T. of 6.46 seconds at 208.84 mph with new clutch components working very well and continuing to run consistently 6.47 seconds at 209.17 mph and 6.46 seconds at 208.17 mph in the final round to take the honour of becoming the 2003 Top Alcohol National Champions.
The crowd appreciated history being made with 6.4 e.t.s. and our first ventures into 209 plus mph era. Pleasing to see several sponsors present to share with the team at a successful weekends racing. We released our team T Shirts at the Nationals, depicting the Price Motorsport Dragster celebrating the first 6 second pass by a small block engine in New Zealand. On the rear of the shirt we have listed the Sponsors Logos / Names. Adding to our merchandise, we have now available, the Price Motorsport Cap, and are currently taking orders for Polo Shirts.
The TV One Film crews were at the race meeting and interviewed the Team prior to racing and also during the elimination rounds, It will be good to receive the TV Exposure and the first of these programmes will be screened on sunday 16 th march 2003 on the One Sport Shell Helix Motorsport show for 30 minutes. A 60 minute version of the programme will screen on the Sky TV Network on Saturday 19 th April 2003 at 1.00 p.m. on channel Sky Sport 2, and then again on Sunday 20 th April 2003 at 8.30 p.m. on Channel Sky Sport 1, and then again Monday 21 st April 2003 at 10.00 a.m. on Channel Sky Sport 1.
Right Click solutions also filmed at the Nationals and are putting together a video of the event which will be available shortly.
Great to see Mark Holland running a 6.632 second E.T. at 211.86 mph, the first 6.6 second run by a New Zealand Doorslammers in New Zealand.

WELLINGTON INVASION CHAMPION DRAGWAY MEREMERE.
Price Motorsport Dragster qualifies number one in Top Comp Bracket. Without any other Top Alcohol Competitors available to run, we entered the Top Comp Bracket to enable us to get more track time. The first qualifing pass resulted in a E.T. of 6.764 seconds @ 199.73 mph which gave us number one qualifier position against 12 other competitiors. In the second qualifier we maintained our number one position and ran a E.T. of 6.729seconds @ 198 mph.
In the first round of competition being number one qualifier we received a bye. having made further adjustments to the clutch we were hoping for a 200mph pass, but a malfunction within the clutch and an E.T. of only 7.620 seconds @ 194.83 mph, and as we left the startline area the starter asked whats wrong thats the first time you have not run a "6". We adjusted the best out of the clutch before the next round, We won with a E.T. of 7.107 seconds @ 196.44 mph beating Mark Holland which decided on who was to be awarded second and Third place, the First run against a Doorslammers for us, but because of the way that the field is reseeded for the last round we only managed to receive an overall placing of second for the day.
We made the quickest passes of the day by any vehicle and reset the National BB/Dragster record to 6.729 seconds @199.73 mph.
We have designed a T-shirt depicting the Price Motorsport Dragster celerbrating the first 6 second pass by a small block engine in New Zealand and are currently arranging priniting. These will be available hopefully in time for the Nationals. On the rear of the shirt we have listed the sponsors logo's / Names in appreciation for their support of the car and team. We have designed a Crew Shirt and have the sponsors names and logo's on the sleeves, and you will see the crew wearing them at the Nationals.

WATERS STREET MOTORS NATIONAL HOT ROD SHOW ADVOCATE STADIUM WHANGAREI.
Greg & Malcolm Price with the Price Motorsport Top Alcohol Dragster awarded First place in Competition Race Car and First place in Competition Engine. Antony Robinson the Driver of the The Price Motorsport Junior Dragster is awarded second place in Competition Race Car and Second place in Competition Engine.
After a very busy few weeks which did not see the Dragsters finally completed and in race ready trim until the early hours of Friday morning, They were loaded into the trailer by Malcolm, Greg, and Antony and first stop on the way to Whangarei was to allow our Sponsors to see the completed Team cars before being seen by the public. A stop at the local Hamilton branch of Exide Batteries was well received, before heading to Auckland for two more stops. Next was Juralco Aluminium Building Products and then to Civil Wholesale. In all cases the unloading of the Dragsters emptied the respective companies business of their employee's to view the finished dragsters.
On arrival in Whangarei at the show venue we were greeted by a team of members from the host club, Northern Street Rods, offering any assistance in getting the Dragsters unloaded and on display in the foyer area, giving the thousands of public that visited a first hand look at what's new on the race scene. We were impressed by the response received from everyone, and when being told by several people that when they heard that the dragsters were in Whangarei, they had travelled up there to view them. The big question being asked was when would they be running at the track. A very enjoyable weekend with the debut of the Dragsters to everybody.
